Periodic Driver CPC Training Course
To maintain your Driver Qualification Card (DQC), HGV and PCV drivers must complete 35 hours of Periodic CPC training every 5 years.
NI Transport & Training provide Northern Ireland and Online Driver CPC Periodic Training Course modules at our training locations in Northern Ireland, in-person at your location or online Driver CPC Courses via Zoom.
Legal Requirement
EU Law (Directive 2003/59) requires all HGV and PCV drivers (with limited exemptions) to hold and maintain a Driver Qualification Card and with it, attend 35 hours training every 5 years.
This is to keep a standard of knowledge and skills of all authorised drivers and contributes to the safety within the road transport industry.
How is Driver CPC Delivered?
Our approved Driver CPC training course is delivered usually in a classroom with 1 trainer and a class of participants. This promotes positive engagement and discussion. At the end of the day, a certificate of completion is issued and your attendance is uploaded onto the Government gateway against your Driver Qualification Card details.
Each driver must complete 35 hours CPC training every 5 years and this is best managed if each driver completes 1x 7 hour CPC training day each year.
During the Covid pandemic, the government approved training to be completed via Zoom and NI Transport & Training do also complete training this way.
NI Transport & Training also carry out CPC training for clients with groups of staff at your location. Please contact us directly to discuss a group booking at your location.
What is Included?
Each CPC training course includes either 1x 7 hour module or 2x 3.5 hour modules and are JAUPT approved. Modules include:
