Operator Licence Awareness Training Course
NI Transport & Training Operator Licence Awareness Training Course is aimed towards drivers and professionals working or preparing to work, either as a nominated Transport Manager for a Standard Licence Holder or those not nominated as a TM but who undertake transport management duties within an organisation.
The OLAT Course is a 1 day, 7 hour CPC recognised course and provides a detailed understanding of the roles and responsibilities of the transport functions of a business, the roles and responsibilities of those performing transport duties and the laws and regulations that should be followed in order to remain compliant.

Benefits of an OLAT course in Northern Ireland
The benefits of an OLAT Course are huge. If you have an Operator’s Licence, you are required to maintain a state of compliance in accordance with the terms of that licence.
Transport Regulation Unit have powers to revoke, suspend or curtail Operator’s Licences where non-compliance is found.

How is the training delivered?
This approved training course is delivered usually in a classroom with 1 trainer and a class of participants. This promotes positive engagement and discussion. At the end of the day, a certificate of completion is issued and your attendance is uploaded onto the Government gateway against your Driver Qualification Card details if you have one.
Due to the Covid pandemic, the government recently approved training to be completed via Zoom and NI Transport & Training do complete some courses this way however, after feedback from participants and trainers, we feel that training is best delivered in a face to face environment.
